Athletic Training Program

At Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center, we are committed to furthering education in our young colleagues. Our highly trained and experienced physicians are devoted to helping shape our students’ minds with practical experience in the clinic, hospital, and on the playing field. Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center has been an integral part of The University of Tulsa Athletics for over forty years; side-by-side, our physicians have worked with The University of Tulsa athletic trainers to provide the highest level of health care for their student-athletes.

For over a decade, Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center has welcomed athletic training graduate students to work and learn at our clinic to further expand their knowledge and proficiencies. The students gain hands-on experience through various community, school, and amateur and professional athletic events. Additionally, the students are encouraged to utilize the many opportunities that Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center offers, including observing orthopedic surgery and lecturing sports medicine topics to local athletic associations, among many others.

Through the joint collaboration between Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center and The University of Tulsa, students have gone on to establish successful careers in sports medicine.
