George S. Mauerman, M.D.

Dr. Mauerman has been with Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center since 1970. After receiving his medical degree from Columbia University in New York City, Dr. Mauerman completed his internship and general surgery residency at New York’s St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. He then went on to complete an orthopaedic residency at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee.

A former Air Force Captain, Dr. Mauerman also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at The University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Tulsa Campus. He is also team physician for The University of Tulsa, Oral Roberts University, Holland Hall High School, and the Tulsa Drillers professional baseball team.

When he’s not seeing patients or mentoring young medical professionals, Dr. Mauerman enjoys taking care of TU athletes and spending time with his grandchildren.

Dr. Mauerman is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
